Jack E. Barrett

Jack E. Barrett, 84 of Fishers, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016. Jack was born December 11, 1931 in Wabash, IN to the late Ralph and Louise Barrett. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was a 1958 graduate of Indiana University.

Jack retired from State Farm Insurance Co. in 1994 as a Divisional Claim Superintendent. He was a 50 year member of the IU Alumni Association, was a member of the American Legion and served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 7 at Flanner and Buchanan-Hamilton Memorial Park, where friends are invited to gather from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.

Jack is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy; daughters, Jacqueline Bristow and Jill (Kip) Watts; grandchildren, Lyndsay, Jonathan, Maddie, Emily and Corey; 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott A. Barrett.
