J. Steven Sims

James Steven Sims, 60, Noblesville, passed away October 16, 2013. He was born on June 23, 1953 in Indianapolis, the son of James and Helen (Allen) Sims. Steve was a 1971 graduate of Decatur Central High School and also graduated from ITT Technical Institute. He worked for Universal Tool and Engineer Company for over 35 years, as well as Remy International in Anderson, IN. Steve was preceded in death by his father, James J. Sims. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Haggard and Danielle Sims; his mother, Helen Sims; his sister, Sandy VanRooy; his step-daughters, Kimberly, Amy, and Kristina; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. A celebration of Steve's life will be on Sunday, October 20 at 3 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, with visitation from 1 PM until service time.
