In loving memory of J. BradfordSenden who passed away on July 4, 2016 at the age of 67 in Indianapolis,Indiana. He was an author, speaker,photographer, athlete, classical music lover and gourmet chef, as well as adevoted father and grandfather.

Brad was born on April 15, 1949 in Evanston, Illinois to John and SuzanneSenden. He grew up in Winnetka,Illinois, along with his sister Sue Senden.

A brilliant student from a young age, he was also an accomplished athlete. In 1971 he received his B.A. in English fromthe University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the university's crewteam. He received his Ph.D. in Englishfrom Indiana University in 1978.

After workingas a Salesman for Moore Langen Printing in Terre Haute, Indiana, he founded hisown consulting company. He was ManagingPartner of The Center for Community Opinion and Political Designs for 31 years. Along with his Associate and BusinessPartner, Marcia Allington, he helped school districts in many parts of thecountry plan and execute successful school tax campaigns, specializing insurvey research and data preparation.

After 25years living and working in California, he returned to Indiana three years ago.

Politics wasa life-long passion for Brad, who ran as the Democratic candidate for Mayor ofIndianapolis in 1987. He also advisedpolitical candidates in Indiana and Kentucky, served as Indiana State Directorfor Hands Across America in 1986 and volunteered for Gleaners Food Bank formany years.

Brad loved totravel and was an excellent photographer, specializing in portraits andwildlife, particularly birds. He sharedhis passion for music with his daughters Casey and Jessica, both of whom aretalented singers, and he shared a penchant for science fiction (in particularStar Wars) with his son, David.

He issurvived by his mother, Suzanne V. Senden, sister, Suzanne M. Senden, themother of his children, Barbara Senden, daughters, Casey Oberhill (Mike) andJessica Senden (Josh Wright), son, David Senden, and granddaughters Sasha andJoanna Oberhill. He was preceded indeath by his father, John Senden.

Visitationwill be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Thomas AquinasChurch, 4625 N.Kenwood Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana, followed immediately bycelebration of a Mass of Christian Burial.
