Izzy (Isabella) Sperle

Izzy Sperle of Carmel, IN, passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 14. She was born in Indianapolis, IN, on October 19, 2011, to parents, Shad and Cerissa (Cruz) Sperle.

Izzy, a bright and dedicated eighth-grader at Clay Middle School, lived a life defined by excellence, energy, and an unmistakable spark. A proud member of the National Junior Honor Society, Izzy balanced her academic achievements with a deep passion for the softball field. Whether playing for her school or her travel teams, she was known not just for her diligent work ethic, but for the leadership and sportsmanship that made her a pillar of every dugout she entered.

Beyond the diamond, Izzy’s world was filled with rhythm and laughter. Her eclectic taste in music spanned decades from 80s classics to today’s hits and she was rarely seen without a playlist ready or a movie quote on the tip of her tongue. Some of her most cherished moments were spent on the couch with her family, binging a new series or revisiting an old favorite.

Izzy possessed the vibrant spirit of a true explorer. She loved the simple joys of being a teenager; texting friends and shopping, but she also had a hunger for discovery. She delighted in trying new foods and traveling to new places, culminating in a "dream come true" trip to New York City this past December. From the lights of Broadway to the magic of the New Year’s Eve ball drop, Izzy experienced the city with pure joy.

She was, and will always remain, a shining light to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her parents Shad and Cerissa, sister, Lucy Sperle, maternal grandparents, Marilyn and Santos Cruz; paternal grandparent, Allan Sperle; aunts and uncles, Jason and Christina Sperle, Carlo and Valen Cruz Charlene Cruz and Ryan Fields; cousins Makayla and Melanie Sperle, Coast and Bond Cruz.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Tammy Sperle

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Izzy’s honor may be made to the SUDC Foundation.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 4pm-8pm at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park - Prairie Waters (4180 Westfield Rd. Noblesville, IN 46060). Additional visitation will begin at 1pm prior to services on, Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Northview Church – Carmel Campus (12900 Hazel Dell Pkwy. Carmel, IN 46033). A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm. Burial will follow directly after service at Carmel Cemetery.
