Iva Marie Guffey

Iva Marie Guffey, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away May 12^th, 2024. She was born September 12^th, 1935, in Athens, Alabama, to parents William and Lena Johns. 

Iva worked for Crown Products for several years before becoming a homemaker full time. 

On December 20^th, 1975, Iva married the love of her life, Ottis Guffey. They shared many wonderful years together. Ottis passed away in 2014. 

Iva was a woman of God and her faith was very important to her. 

She was a generous, loving woman. Devoted to her family, she adored her children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Iva was a talented musician, and enjoyed playing the guitar and piano. She was proud of her home, and loved taking care of her flowers and garden. 

She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. 

Iva is survived by her siblings Frances and Lois; grandchildren Shannon, Brian, Karrie, Allen, Ivy and David; great grandchildren Gregory and Nicole; and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ottis; children Garry, Darlene, and Rick; and several siblings. 

Visitation for Iva will be Friday May 24^th, from 11-1pm at Flanner Buchanan Memorial Park. Her funeral will begin at 1pm. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Ottis, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
