Isabel Lee Hibbert, 2, formerly of Zionsville, ascended into heaven on December 28, 2021. Izzy was born August 15, 2019 in Indianapolis to Donald Hibbert IV and Laura Plocharczyk. Izzy was preceded in death by Jean Togikawa, her Grandmother, and Donald Hibbert, Jr., her Great-Grandfather.
Izzy was a miracle born to the world at Methodist Hospital and transferred over to Riley Children’s Hospital where she spent her first 3 months of life with the odds stacked against her.
Isabel Lee was diagnosed with Kabuki Syndrome, a rare congenital disorder. It did not take long to understand why these children are known as “Kabuki Warriors.” Her strength and fight were unmatched while she battled through countless surgeries and trips to the hospital.
Through all of this, Izzy had a smile that would melt your heart and an attitude for non-stop simple pleasures. Izzy loved to feel the wind on her face and was a free spirit. There were no boundaries that would hold her back. Her curious spirit kept all in check and left little time to look away…. she wanted to stay on the move.
Izzy blessed all who had the chance to meet her … and her life story, her spirit, will live with us forever.
In lieu of flowers, we would prefer donations be made to All Things Kabuki, www.allthingskabuki.org. Donations made via PayPal can be designated In Honor of Isabel Lee Hibbert.
