Irvin Dale Johnson, Sr.
91 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on March 2, 2023, in Plainfield, Indiana. Irvin was born on December 25, 1931, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Fred and Gertrude Johnson. He was a Marine Corps Veteran. He was retired from Allison Transmission where he worked on the transmission for the M1A1 Abrams Tank. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Johnson; son, Terry D. Johnson and his parents. He is survived by his sons, William (Lori) Johnson, Sr., James (Debbie) Johnson, Brian (Rose) Johnson and Irvin Dale Johnson, Jr. and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
