Irma “Jean”(Wheeling) Payton

85, Indianapolis,passed away January 1, 2016. Jean wasborn to the late William G. and Irma Del (Stuck) Wheeling. She was a graduate of Howe High School.

Jean was thedevoted wife of Charles A. Payton; a loving mother to her children: Nancy Simanek(Gene), Dale Payton, Laurie Pushor, Diane Mills (Mark), Janet Newman (Ken) andMark Payton (Sarah); and a doting grandmother to her 12 grandchildren and 11great-grandchildren. She was also theproud sister of William “Bill” Wheeling, Bob Wheeling, and Sally Hembree.

Jean was precededin death by her husband, Charles; son, Dale and infant sister, Janet Wheeling.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at11a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720East 13th Street, Indianapolis. Friendsmay call on Wednesday from 9am until the mass time at the church.
