Irene H. Comastri

Irene H Comastri 1935-2013 Surrounded by her children, Irene took fierce wings to meet up with her husband Bill, who preceded her to Heaven and the gracious Lord. She leaves behind to cherish her memory and no non-sense wit, her five children; Debbie Melloh (Jeff), Donna Comastri, Tina Comastri, John Comastri (Karin), and Laura Papaik (Bill). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Andrew, Mackenzie Irene (James), Kylie Grace, Justin Comastri, Megan Anne, Shannon Marie, Nicholas William, Natalie, Jennifer, Kristin, Audrey, and Nathaniel. Her beloved great grandchildren are Jaden, Isaiah, Layla, Alana, and Gabriele. She is also survived by her siblings, Carol Cummings (William) John Unser (partner Tom) Sonny Unser (Olivia) Marty Weiss (brother- in-law) Preceded in death, Trudy Weiss (sister) and Barbara Beaumont (sister ) wife of Marty Weiss. Irene had a great zest for life. Gigi, as her great grandchildren knew her, brought her Long Island sense of humor, personality, and attitude to an unsuspecting Indiana people. She never failed to charm every soul she came across and brought joy to those around her. Irene has left her mark on a number of people who will continue to cherish her memory by living more thoughtful, loving lives. While she will be missed, those fortunate enough to have met her for even a moment will continue to carry on her passion for life and wise-cracking spirit.
