Ida C. Fouts

73, of Carmel passed away on July 10, 2016. She was born February 6, 1943 in Indianapolis to the late Clifford and Delpha (Dale) Matheson. She and Gene W. Fouts were married by her father, in his church, on June 18,1960.

Ida enjoyed music and dancing, working in her yard and decorating her home, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gene W. Fouts; two daughters, Brenda (Michael) Cook and Cathy (Greg) Irish; her four grandchildren, Michelle Diveley, Samantha Cook, Lynley Ward, and Danny Kilburn; her four great-grandchildren; Benjamin, Samuel, Noah, and Emma; her brother Dallas (Patti) Matheson, her sister Nancy Henson, and her sister-in-law Bonnie (Ray) Petty. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Sydna Forester and Alice Koors, and her brother Clifford Matheson.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive.
