Icie Ashby Brown

Icie Ashby Brown, 96 of San Marcos, TX formerly of Indianapolis, IN went to be with her Lord and Savior January 15, 2015. Icie worked for the American Red Cross in Indianapolis where she was a Director and Administrative Assistant for many years. She was an active member of the Southwest Church of the Nazarene where she served as the President of the Missionary Society and the Librarian for many years. She also was a former member of Ray Street Church of the Nazarene. Icie is survived by her children, Carol Ann (Michael) Brock, Larry (Jacque) Ashby, 6 grandchildren one of which she raised as a daughter, Danielle Williams, 15 great grandchildren and a sister, Velva Stone. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence Ashby and Edison E. Brown, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 1PM at Southwest Church of the Nazarene 4797 Tincher Road Indianapolis, IN with visitation there from 10 AM. Rev. Bill Bean will officiate the funeral service. She will be entombed at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to the church for which she loved so dearly.
