Hugo Steichele

Hugo Steichele 80, of Westfield, IN., passed away on May 26,2016. Hugo was born on December 20, 1935in Unterthingau, Germany to Martin and Theresa (Weber) Steichele. Hugo completed his trade school in Germany in1953 as a butcher. He moved from Germanyto Erie, PA in 1954 where he began his career and worked as a butcher at SmithProvisions, Inc. in Erie, PA., retired in 2001 as a foreman. He served our country in the US Army and wasa member of the American Legion and VFW. Hugo moved to Westfield, IN to be closer to his loving son anddaughter-in-law and twin grandsons in June of 2008. Calling will be held on Saturday June 04,2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville 105 West Pine Street Zionsville, IN46077 from 1 pm to 4 pm followed by the funeral service at 4 pm. Hugo is survived by his beloved wife of 54wonderful years of marriage Christa (Kramer) Steichele of Westfield, IN., andtheir loving son Gary (Kathryn Peyton) Steichele and his wonderful twingrandsons Aaron and Tyler Steichele of Zionsville, IN. and his siblings HerbertSteichele of St Clair Shores, MI., and Franz (Rosmarie) Steichele ofUnterthingau, Germany; nieces Sandra Steichele Fleischmann of Germany andIngeborg Hartmann Bertotto of Italy. Inurnment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery Fishers, IN. Memorial contributions may be given to theAlzheimer’s Association.
