Howard Lee Thompson

Howard L. Thompson 84, of Carmel, went to be with his Lord March 24, 2013. He was born in 1929 in Linton, IN to Joseph Robert Thompson and Esta Vieta Armpriester. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Howard and his wife Wilma celebrated 65 years of marriage on March 4, 2013. Howard worked as a supervisor in the accounting department for General Motors Truck and Bus in Indianapolis for 35 years. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and tennis, rooting for the Colts, Pacers, IU Hoosiers, and was the treasurer of Castleview Baptist Church for 18 years. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Wilma (Lohr) Thompson, daughter, Donna (John) Davis, son, Steve (Melanie) Thompson, grandson, Dan (Kelly) Davis, granddaughter, Jenni (Tom) Miles, granddaughter, Tracy (Andy) Fisher, grandson, Josh (Michelle) Davis, granddaughter Kari Jolliffe, granddaughter, Kristi (Eric) Borchardt, grandson, Nicholas Thompson and 10 great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph Thompson. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Carmel with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. and burial to follow at Carmel Cemetery.
