Indianápolis, Indiana – Homero González-Quiñonez, de 34 años, falleció el 10 de mayo de 2025. Extrañaremos profundamente su generosidad, amabilidad y amor.

Homero nació en Durango, México, hijo de Filemón González-Nevarez y María de la Luz Quiñonez Cano, el 14 de mayo de 1990. Tras emigrar a Estados Unidos, abrió su propio negocio, especializándose en sistemas de drenaje para techos. Hombre trabajador, le encantaba mantener a su familia, dándoles a su esposa e hijos todo lo que necesitaban y casi todo lo que deseaban.

Criado en un rancho, Homero era un vaquero de pies a cabeza. Siempre tuvo un gran amor por los animales, especialmente los caballos y los perros, y tuvo varios a lo largo de su vida. Cuando salía a divertirse, disfrutaba del baile, la música y las parrilladas bajo las estrellas.

Pero sobre todo, amaba a su familia. Siempre estaba ahí para saludar a los amigos que llegaban con un café en la mano. Nunca conoció a un extraño y siempre supo hacer que cualquiera se sintiera bienvenido en su hogar y en su vida.

A Homero le sobreviven su esposa Carmina Ocon-Hernández, sus hijos Yahaira González-Ocon y Gael González-Ocon, sus padres Filemón González-Nevarez y María de la Luz Quiñonez-Cano, sus hermanos Maura Enríquez, Nancy González, Brenda González, Emiliano González, Ramiro González, Berenise González y Hugo Quiñonez; su suegro Jesús Ocon; y sus tías Arcelida Nevarez y Azusena Quiñonez.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo en Flanner Buchanan - Memorial Park (9350 East Washington Street, Indianápolis, Indiana, 46202) de 16:00 a 20:00 h el martes 20 de mayo de 2025. La misa funeral se celebrará en la Iglesia Católica del Espíritu Santo (7243 East 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46219) el miércoles 21 de mayo de 2025 a las 10:00 h. El entierro se realizará en el Cementerio Memorial Park.

Indianapolis, Indiana – Homero Gonzalez-Quiñonez, 34, went to his peace on May 10, 2025. His generosity, kindness, and love will be deeply missed.

Homero was born in Durango, Mexico, to Filemon Gonzalez-Nevarez and Maria de la Luz Quiñonez Cano on May 14, 1990. After immigrating to the United States, he started his own business, specializing in rooftop drainage systems. A hard-working man, he loved to provide for his family, giving his wife and children everything they needed and most of what they wanted.

Raised on a ranch, Homero was a cowboy through and through. He had a life-long love of animals, especially horses and dogs, having several throughout his life. When he was out to have a little fun, he enjoyed dancing, music, and grilling out under the stars.

Most of all though, he loved his family. He was always there to greet friends as they came over with a coffee in hand for them. He never knew a stranger and was always able to make anyone feel welcome in his home and life.

Homero is survived by his wife Carmina Ocon-Hernandez, children Yahaira Gonzalez-Ocon, and Gael Gonzalez-Ocon, parents Filemon Gonzalez-Nevarez and Maria de la Luz Quiñonez-Cano, siblings Maura Enriquez, Nancy Gonzalez, Brenda Gonzalez, Emiliano Gonzalez, Ramiro Gonzalez, Berenise Gonzalez, and Hugo Quiñonez; father-in-law Jesus Ocon; and aunts Avelida Nevarez and Azusena Quiñonez.

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan - Memorial Park (9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46202) from 4 - 8 pm on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 10 am. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
