Holly Lee Stowe

Holly Lee Stowe, 62, passed away on August 3, 2016 after an extended illness. She was born on October 11, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Gordon and Betty Jane (Martin) Stowe.

She received her bachelor and master of music degrees from Butler University and a master of communications from Indiana University. Holly will be remembered for her love of her German Shepherd dogs, her generous spirit and sharp wit, and a love for singing and performing throughout her life. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Robert Schmidt of Barrington; and nieces Laura (Jef Nackaerts) Schmidt of Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Gretchen Schmidt of Chicago, Illinois.

After cremation, private services will be held at the family’s lake home in Michigan, the place Holly loved most on this earth. Family and friends are invited to dine at the restaurant of their choice on October 11 and “Raise a Glass to Holly” at 7 p.m. in her memory.
