Hildreth M. "Bobbie" Chandler

Hildreth M. “Bobbie” Chandler, 95 of Avon, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away July 29, 2022. She was born April 21, 1927, in Haldeman, Kentucky to the late, Samuel F. and Pearl (Withrow) Bowen. Bobbie worked for 15 years at RCA as an Assembler, but she spent many years being a Care Giver to many in her family and community. She was a member of the West Morris Street Free Methodist Church, enjoyed tending to her flowers in her garden, NASCAR, and following the Indiana Pacers. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Bobbie is survived by her loving children, Ed (Linda) Swinigan, Penny (Chuck) Peterson, Robert Swinigan, Jeff (Sandy) Chandler, 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, her sister, Reba Lehman, and her brothers, Gene Bowen, and Jim Bowen. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Chandler. Services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, 11:00am at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with visitation held there from 9:00am until the service. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, Indiana.
