Hilda G. (Arkell) Johnson

Hilda G. (Arkell) Johnson passed away Friday,April 15, 2016. She was born September 17, 1924 in Cheltenham, England toThomas A. and Annie Millington Arkell who proceeded her in death. She graduatedfrom Central Girls School in Cheltenham before going to work in the War Officeat Oakley Field, Cheltenham. On December 27, 1943 she married Buren K. Johnson,Sr. in St. Peter’s Church, Cheltenham. He passed away Nov. 13, 2004. She workedfor Hoosier Village Retirement Center as Administrator before retiring in 1992.

She is survived by her son, Thomas and daughter,Christena both of Zionsville. Son Buren Keith Jr. is deceased. She is alsosurvived by three grandchildren, Buren Keith III, Westerville, Ohio, Colin(Katherine) of Worthington, Ohio and Sarah (William) Smith of Centerburg, Ohioand three great-granddaughters, Emma Johnson, Ava Benedetti, and ElizabethSmith. She is also survived by her brother, Keith (Valerie) Arkell,brother-in-law Maurice Havard, nephews Paul (Sally) Havard, and Neil Havard allof Cheltenham, England and niece Tracey (Andrew) Davis of Harrogate, England aswell as cousins.

Calling will be Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 4-9p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville with services at Hoosier Village chapelat 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
