Herta Lina Baade

Herta Lina Baade, beloved wife, mother, and homemaker, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023. She was born on September 3, 1935, in Neukirchen, Prussia. Herta was known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family and her deep-rooted faith in the Lutheran Church.

As a homemaker, Herta's greatest joy came from taking care of her loved ones. Her warm and nurturing presence created a welcoming home for her husband, Fred H. Baade, whom she shared many happy years with. Herta's devotion to her family was unwavering and she cherished every moment spent with them.

In addition to being a dedicated homemaker, Herta had a passion for flowers. Her beautiful garden was a testament to her green thumb and brought joy to all who saw it. Herta took great pleasure in tending to her flowers, watching them bloom and flourish under her care. It was in these moments surrounded by nature that she found tranquility and peace.

Herta's love for her church was evident in every aspect of her life. She actively participated in the Pilgrim Lutheran Church community in Carmel, Indiana, where she found solace and community. Her faith guided her actions and served as an anchor during both joyous and challenging times.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving son, Erik F. Baade. Erik has been deeply influenced by his mother's kindness and strong moral compass. He will carry on her legacy by continuing to live a life rooted in love and compassion.

To honor Herta's life, visitation will take place on November 28, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Carmel, Indiana. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 2:00 PM. The church, located at 3650 West 106th Street, will be filled with friends and family who will come together to celebrate Herta's remarkable life and mourn her loss. Memorial contributions may be made to the church in Herta's memory.
