Herman Norton

Herman Norton 82, passed away November 3, 2013 at Community-South. He was born October 18, 1931 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky the son of Dovie (McKinney) and Foist Norton. Herman moved to Indiana in 1953. He had been a steel worker for Cold Metal Products for many years. He was a true American Picker, buying and selling everything. Herman is survived by his wife, Geraldine; son, Jimmy Norton, Robert(Pam) Wallace and Greg (Amber Mason) Wallace; daughter, Marcia (Travis) Bowers; grandchildren, Ashley, Tammy and Olivia Wallace, Dylan and Emma Mason, Sue Ann Keith, Kelly (Rodney) Barmettler, and Kristi (Tyler) Middleton; great grandchildren, Trenton, Madden, and Maverick, brothers, Sherman and Joe Norton, sisters, Mildred Pace, Iris Slaven, and Dora Pace and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Melba Mize and brother, Norman Norton. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park 425 N. Holt Rd. There will be a 1 P.M. Saturday, November 9, 2013 funeral service and 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. visitation November 8, 2013 at Cox Funeral Home 80 Maple Dr. Mount Vernon, KY 40456 and burial in McKinney Cemetery Mt. Vernon, KY.
