Herbert J. O'Neal

Herbert J. O'Neal, 92, Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015. He was born June 23, 1923 in Martinsville, Indiana the son of Herbert N. and Elsie (Cook) O'Neal. Herbert retired from Bridgeport Brass after 28 years of service. He was a member of Seerley Creek Christian Church, West Newton Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis and served in the United States Marines during WW 2. Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Carter) O'Neal who he married June 2, 1945; daughters, Sue O'Neal and Donna Berger; son, Randy (Mary Ellen) O'Neal; brother, Bruce O'Neal; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan - Decatur 5463 Kentucky Avenue Indianapolis with funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Nebo Memorial Park 3295 State Road 252, Martinsville, Indiana with Militar Honors provided by the U S Marines.
