Henrietta J. McKnight

Henrietta J. McKnight, 91, long time resident of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023. Henrietta was born Dec. 31, 1931, to Henry and Ethel Heckman.

She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved to spend time watching the wildlife in her backyard of her home of more than 50 years. She was an extreme dog lover throughout her life and loved to spoil them like they were her kids. She was a very competitive person in no matter what the game was and deeply enjoyed watching the Colts! She will be greatly missed from all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Charles H. McKnight Jr., and son Michael B. McKnight. Her survivors include sons Charles J. McKnight (Jill) and David E. Austrew (Shelley), daughter Sherry L. Sandberg, granddaughters Shannon, Riley, Morgan, and great-granddaughters Lily and Mila.
