Helen Zornes

Helen L. Zornes, age 88, of Indianapolis, died February 6, 2011. She was born January 18, 1923 in New Castle to the late Vance and Denise Lewis. Helen was a Loan Closing Officer for many years with Union Federal Savings Bank and Waterfield Mortgage Company prior to her retirement in 1987. She actively supported the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and volunteered at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and Northminster Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Zornes. Survivors include her nephews, Marc and Jeff Lewis, several additional nieces and nephews, and many close friends. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 10 at Northminster Presbyterian Church, where friends may gather one hour prior to the funeral. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Broad Ripple. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Northminster Presbyterian church.
