Helen Rebecca Sandra Barger

Helen Rebecca Sandra Barger, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016. She was born on September 17, 1955 in Anderson, IN to the late Lattie Henson and Carolyn (Brown) Schwietzer. Becky attended Arsenal Tech High School and graduated in 1980 from Manuel High School. In addition to being a loving wife and devoted mother, she worked for 21 years for Warren Township Schools. Becky is survived by her husband of almost 43 years, Herbert Barger; daughter, Jennifer Barger; brothers, Michael and Thomas Henson; sisters, Peggy Snelson and Nancy Moles. Becky is also survived by aunts, Louise Yeagar and Joanne Couch; and many special cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Carpenter; uncles, Robert and Kenneth Brown; aunt, Pauline Porter Williamson. Becky was also preceded in death by her best friend, who she loved as a sister, Karen Jordan. Karen passed away in 1995, along with her son, Walter “J” Jordan V, who passed away in 2001. Karen’s daughter, Michan Jordan, survives and has, and will always be considered part of the Barger Family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 4 -8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10am, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the American Heart Association.
