Mrs. Helen Henson, the daughter of Robert Paul and Pearlener, was born June 7, 1934 in McKenzie, Tenn.
Helen was united in holy matrimony to Robert Henson, who preceded her in death. Helen was a homemaker. Helen professed hope in Christ at an early age at Second Baptist Church, and then later joined 25th Baptist Church. Helen loved to sing the Gospel. She would sing for different churches and for the National Association of Colored Women, when her mother was a member. Her favorite song was "Precious Lord." Helen was friendly to all who loved her and met her. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Merita White; 2 grandchildren, Stephen M. White, Jr., and Leia N. Rhodes (Dominic); 2 brothers, Robert P. Hampton (Claudelle), and Clarence Hampton (Mattean); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her step-father William Chamberlin and son-in-law, Stephen M. White, Sr.
