Helen L. Hurt

Helen L. Hurt, 90, Indianapolis passed away Feb. 21, 2015. She was born September 1, 1924 in Indianapolis daughter to Clarence and Helen (Sheehan) Brinkworth. Helen was a graduate of St. Agnes High School and attended Butler University where she was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. Helen was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. She continued to be a source of inspiration and knowledge as a loving mother and grandmother until her death. She lived a life filled with family, friends and laughter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George M. Hurt Jr. and a son, Larry Hurt (Tom McTamney). Helen is survived by daughters, Leslie (David) White, Gayle (Bill) Pulliam, Janet (Brian) Kincaid; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 4 until 8 PM Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North, Kessler Blvd and from 10:30 until 11 am Thursday at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Speedway. Burial will follow in Washington Park North Cemetery.
