Helen Kogan, 92, of Zionsville passed away at her home December 28, 2012, surrounded by family and the things she loved. She was born October 1, 1920, in Hodgenville, Ky., the daughter of Elvia and Vida Skaggs. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. Kogan and her sister, Mary Elizabeth Pepper.
Helen was a woman of unerring good taste in classic dress and interior design. She and her husband owned Kogan's Bakery in Speedway and Kogan's Antiques in Zionsville.
Helen is survived by three sons who she loved dearly; Phil (Nikki), Tod, and Drew Kogan; two grandsons, David and Brad; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church of Zionsville with visitation from 1 pm until service time. A celebratory luncheon will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Zionsville American Legion, SullivanMunce Cultural Center in Zionsville, Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church of Zionsville, or St. Vincent Hospice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville.
