Helen Janet Cole Kildsig, 99, of Speedway, Indiana, passed away June 30, 2021. She was born on June 8, 1922, in Hammond, Indiana, to the late Earl and Inez DeRolf Cole.
After graduating from high school, Helen married the love of her life, the late John Richard Kildsig. They moved to Indianapolis where John had taken a position at Allison. They bought their first house in Speedway and found a community and church they enjoyed, becoming life-long members of the Speedway Christian Church. Helen stayed busy with raising their two daughters and served as a leader in Brownies and Girl Scouts. She was an amazing cook, baker, and seamstress, and was not afraid to try her hand at any project.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara Cain and her husband Herb; daughter Patricia Bebee and her husband Douglas; grandson Scott Bebee; and nephew Skip Cole.
Services will be held privately. Memorial contributions may go to Speedway Christian Church. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Speedway.
