Helen E. Langer

HELEN E. LANGER 102 of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012.She was born September 2, 1909 in New Castle, IN to Harry and Bertha Mullen Day. She worked at RCA for 28 years before retiring in 1972. She attended the Lutheran Church and was a member of Delta Sigma Kappa Society and the RCA Local Union. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank J. Langer, her son Frank Pluckebaum, brothers, Harry, Joe Bufkin and Howard Day and sister, Pauline Smith. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Slentz and Margaret Cowart, 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday August 11, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center. Interment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
