Helen E. Frattini

Helen E. Frattini, 95, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on June 20, 2016. She was born December 10, 1920, in Hollsopple, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Dominick and Anna (Hanyo) Demangone. She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1939 where she met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Anthony “Tony” Frattini, who preceded her in passing on July 5, 2012, after 68 years of marriage. Together they raised 3 children. She is survived by her son Anthony (Joanna) Frattini of Ellicott City, Maryland, and daughter Diane (Jack) Tallmadge of Durango, Colorado. Her youngest daughter, Jeannine (Robert) Meyer, preceded her in passing on May 3, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Demangone and sister, Mary Lee Vargosko.

Helen had 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who adored her. She was a loving homemaker to her family and friends and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. In retirement, she traveled the world with her husband, played cards and board games with family and friends, and was an avid reader, bowler, golfer and film buff. Helen was a cancer survivor and maintained a quiet strength in the face of adversity and sense of style and grace throughout her whole life. Her sweet and loving nature, laugh, and self-deprecating sense of humor brought tremendous joy to everyone she met. She was deeply loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed. A private service is planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
