Helen Carter

Surrounded by her loving family, Helen Carter passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014, and has joined her husband James Russell Carter in heaven. Helen was born on June 17, 1921 and graduated from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. She was a lifelong member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was a pillar of the Women's Society and Altar Guild, before moving to Michigan to live with her son, David, and his family. Helen loved reading, traveling, baking, sewing, and needlework, which she shared with family and friends. , Above all, she cherished time with her family. Her loving and generous nature endeared her to all who knew her. She was beloved by her children, Jim & Kathie, Patty & Gerald, Dave & Sharon, and Judy, as well as her grandchildren, Jonathan, Megan & Craig, Rachel, Evan, Wylie, and Grace.
