Hazel Marie (Shearl) Haney

Hazel Marie Haney 80 years young passed away January 1, 2014. She is retired from Western Electric upon completing 30 years of service at the young age of 52. She spent her lifetime serving other people any way her heart lead. Hazel was genuinely a hard worker at each task she confronted. For the past seven years Hazel has resided at Forest Creek Village where she experienced a community of caring people. Before the onset of the terrible disease, Alzheimer's, she was actively involved as a caregiver. She truly experienced joy from giving and providing for others. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Susan) Haney, Albert Haney, grandchildren, Misshel (Bill) Breen, Shane (Carolyn) Haney, Mark Magers, Justin(Nicole) Magers ,great grandchildren, Chase Garrett, Allyson Breen, Caleb and Graham Haney, Madailyn, Mark, Miley Marie, Nolan Magers and 2 in the oven, sisters, Joyce (Bud) Richards, Doris (Winford) Harp, and Nelda (Gary) Warfield. She is preceded in death by her parents, Keen Bradley and Nettie Bell (Abney) Shearl, beloved husband, Albert Clarence Haney and her daughter, Diana Marie Magers. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Hazel's life on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 4 PM in Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur with visitation there from 1 PM.
