Hazel L. England, 81, longtime resident of Indianapolis, passed away September 13, 2015. Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on December 2, 1933, Hazel was the oldest daughter of Herman and Mildred (Jones) Goad. She married William C. England on March 31, 1951; he preceded her in death.
Hazel was employed at RCA on the east side of Indianapolis for 30 years. She started on the press floor and advanced to group leader then supervisor. She retired in 1987. Hazel spent her retirement years enjoying the family and friends she dearly loved. She also enjoyed traveling. Hazel was a friendly, outgoing and talkative lady whose laugh will long be remembered and missed. Hazel never met a stranger.
Mrs. England is survived by her daughter Darlene Burnett and her three sons Gerald (Terri) England, Jeff (Nancy) England, and Marty (Robert) England, grandchildren Sean Gates, Erin Burnett Fredriksz, and Ryan (Ben), Kyla, Bonnie, Jake, and Melissa England, and great-grandchildren Tyler and Adelyn Gates, Keira Burnett Wilkinson, and Elias Fredriksz. Hazel also leaves behind her sister Shirley Hays of Bowling Green, KY.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. England was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Peggy England, and grandsons Joshua England and Derek Gates.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with service immediately following at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park; 425 North Holt Road; Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
