Hattie “Granny” Stead

87, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed through Heaven’s Gate on Wednesday March 9, 2016, surrounded by her children, grandchildren. Hattie was born December 7, 1928 in No Business, Tennessee to William Isaac and Martha (Watson) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Stead Sr. and a grandson Johnny Stead. She is survived by her daughters, Thelma (Louis) Stewart, Mary (Danny) Brown, son Roy Stead Jr., brothers Ebb Smith, sisters Alice Bell, Vertie Rector, 8 grandchildren Steven, Chris, Joshua, Mark, Kenny, Isaac, Jamie, Kyle, 14 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren and one step great great grandaughter. She was loved and called Granny by many and will be greatly missed by all! Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-6pm and Monday from 12-2pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park with services Monday at 2pm in the funeral center.
