Harvey Lawson

Harvey James Lawson 68 of Mooresville, IN passed away September 18, 2014. He was born February 11, 1946 in Thorpe, West Virginia to the late Dorsie W. and Carrie Elizabeth (Thayer) Lawson. He was a Truck Driver retired from the U S Postal Service after 30 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local #135. He was a gambler, smooth talker, a lady's man and loved and lived life to the fullest. He is survived by his children, James A. Lawson, Todd Lawson, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister, Pauline (Bo) Burleson, brother, Jerry (Gloria) Lawson, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, John Wayne Lawson, brothers, John and Jackie Lawson and sister, Delores A. Mitchum. Harvey passed away surrounded by his loving family, his niece Leona Garrett that was his caregiver and his good friends, Vicky and Rick Black. Services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 2PM in Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur Township where visitation is on Monday, September 22nd 4-8PM. He will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
