Harves Johnson, Jr. departed this earth to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the age of 49. Harves was born in Philadelphia, MS to Harves Johnson, Sr. and Mary Johnson on June 10, 1972. He attended Newton High School in Newton, MS. He is preceded by his father Harves Johnson, Sr.. He leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Latarcia McCray, mother Mary Johnson (Indy), 1 daughter Daja Denise Johnson (Indy), 1 son Djimon Weah Johnson, sister Veronica Shores (Indy), niece Alexis Johnson (Indy), nephews Theodore Johnson (Atlanta, Georgia), Kevon Shores (Indy), 1 great niece Jaliyah Gray, 1 great-nephew Mikah Johnson, a blood brother Kawam Evans (Natalie), 2 brothers-in-law Cornelius McCray (Miami, FL) and Felix Noble, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. After school, he moved to Indianapolis, where he worked at Methodist hospital in the X-ray department. He then later moved to Miami, Florida to pursue a music career. To say he was a family man is a profound understatement. He had a smile that would light up the room. Harves loved his boat and taking family and friends on a ride. He enjoyed singing, music, fishing, boating, gardening, decorating, nature, cooking, barbecuing, his truck, Bessie, family and friends. In his words MIAMI BABY!
