Harry M. Michels, 98, Martinsville, and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away September 28, 2011. He was born October 16, 1912 in Cleveland, OH. Harry was a graduate of Butler University and served in the Army in WW II. He was a musician with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra for many years. Harry was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Audrey (Harrington) Michels; his children, Geoffrey Michels (Dinah) and Diana O'Brien (William); eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and his brother, William Michels. Services will be held on Monday, October 3 at 10 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 6361 N. Keystone Avenue, Indianapolis. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 2 from 2-4 PM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Broad Ripple. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Edward the Confessor Church.
