Harry Allen France, known affectionately as "Hop," was born on March 3, 1934, in Noblesville, Indiana. He passed away peacefully in his hometown on May 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of loyalty, generosity, and respect within his community. Harry lived the last three years in the care of his youngest son, William France, when he could no longer live alone.

Hop met the love of his life, Teresa Duvall, who was working at the Rainbow Roller Rink as a carhop on roller skates at the time. They later married on August 3, 1957.

Harry dedicated thirty years of his career to Firestone Tire, where he served as a machinist before retiring at the age of 48. His skills extended beyond the tire industry; he was also a talented carpenter, adept at creating and building with his hands. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he served his country with honor as a machinist on the Navy aircraft carrier Lake Champlain.

His character was marked by the deep bonds he formed with those around him. Harry was well-respected and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His loyalty and generosity were hallmarks of his personality, endearing him to friends and family alike.

Harry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Teresa, his parents George France and Leona (Griffin) France, and his older sister Jeanne Ann (France) Garland along with her husband Dan Garland.

He is survived by his children Regina (Stan) Garrison, Timothy (Holly) France, Bradley (Michelle) France, William France, grandchildren Sadie (Jeremy Grimes) Garrison, John (Krish) Garrison, Andrew Garrison, Brandon (Kimi) France, Felecia (Derrick) Bolander, Marigrace France, Justin France, great-grandchildren, Pierce Bolander, Savic Garrison, Anielle Garrison, Orion Garrison-Grimes, Eloise Garrison, Saylor Bolander, and a seventh due soon, Jerry (Connie) France, Carol Skinner, Greg France, and Bobbi (Tim) Hawley, who will carry forward the warmth of his spirit in their hearts.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on June 4, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, held at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite) in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Harry Allen France was a remarkable man whose life truly made an impact. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, forever remembered for his unwavering love and kindness.
