Harold Weinmann

November 16, 1922 — March 1, 2012

Harold John Weinmann , 89 of Indianapolis passed away March 1, 2012. He worked for the E.I. DuPont Company for 36 years, retiring in 1985. He was a veteran of World War II and was wounded while in service. Harold was married August 9, 1947 to the former Margaret Tierney. He was a member and deacon of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, where he worked many years as a volunteer in their soup kitchen. He coached both at Tab and the C.Y.O. receiving the Louis A Dawson and the St John Bosco Awards for meritorious service. He had vacationed in the northwoods of Wisconsin with his family since 1936. Harold realized his dream of owning a home on a lake in the Eagle River area in 1993. He was preceded in death by his grand daughter Stephanie. Harold is survived by his wife Margie; daughter Nancy (Richards) Hingbergen; sons Bill (Cathy), Mike and Pat; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Service will be Tuesday, March 6, at noon in the McKee Chapel, Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, 418 E. 34th Street with visitation Monday, March 5, from 4 to 8pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church or the American Heart Association.
