Harold (Sid) Holliday

79, of Indianapolis, IN passed away May 7, 2016. He was born to Eugene and Catherine Holliday on April 21, 1937. Harold is survived by his wife Adela and two sons from a previous marriage, Steve and James as well as one daughter, Lisa Ann Holliday, who passed in South Carolina in 1990.Harold is also survived by his sister, Shirley Ward, of Anderson, IN as well as three grandchildren, Steven Holliday, Bonnie (Holliday) Becker and Jason Barns.

Harold joined the Indianapolis fire department on October 1, 1960 and served until his retirement on January 1, 1981. Harold and Adela purchased a motor home in 1988 and traveled extensively in the southern United States. Leesburg, Florida was Harold’s home base for the last several years after having open-heart surgery in 2012.
Harold enjoyed traveling, fishing and the company of their two cats. The family requests that if friends choose to make a donation in lieu of flowers, they donate to the charity of their choice in loving memory of Harold.
Visitation will be at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 North Allisonville Road on Sunday May 15 from 2 pm to 6 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 16 at 1 pm at the same location.
