Harold K. Harvey

Harold K. Harvey, 82 of Carmel, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 at his home. Harold was born January 31, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late Gustavus J. and Pauline Bryant Harvey. Harold retired from Marathon Oil in 1990 after 37 years of service. Harold was a member of the Carmel Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. Friends and family are invited to call Thursday, June 2 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Carmel. Private graveside services will be held on Friday. Harold is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Whelchel Harvey; children, R. Michael (Diane) Harvey, Vicki (Joe) Smith; grandchildren, Brandon, Courtney, Cary, Serina, Chantel and Ricky; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Wilbur and Sherman Harvey. Harold was preceded in death by his daughter, Marylynn L. Harvey and his sister, Louise Ditton. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
