Harold J. Parton, 83 of Indianapolis passed away on October 7, 2014. He was born in New River, Tennessee to Fred and Catherine Ann Honeycutt Parton and moved to Indianapolis after he served in the US Army in the Korean War. He retired from Kroger after 39 years of service. He was a member of Warren Baptist Church and former member of Heather Hills Baptist Church. He loved his family and his involvement with them. He enjoyed gardening, taking care of his lawn, growing his fruit and nut trees. He loved football and especially the Colts. He had a dry sense of humor and loved teaching his grandchildren. He bungee jumped when he was 70 years old.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Billie, daughters, Vicki Parton and Leah (Tom) Gentry, sister, Emma Jeffers, brother, Gene (Esther) Parton, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
