Harold G. Phillips

Harold G. Phillips, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away October 1, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Reeder Phillips; children: Melanie(Greg) McAtee, Lisa(Steve) Gerber, James Phillips, Krissy(Mark) Carson; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother: James Phillips; sisters: Helen Marshall, Barbara Hallowell, Peggy Eldridge, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Truman and mother, Alice Wiley. Harold was the owner/operator of Harold's Steer – In from 1964 -2000. He was also a member of the Ellenberger United Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center –Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. Entombment at Washington Park East Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 4-8 PM at the funeral center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ellenberger United Church of Christ, 5520 E. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN 46219.
