Harold “Dean” Jarvis, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 13th, 2020. Dean was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Price and Beulah (Cole) Jarvis on July 17th, 1937. He was a graduate from Arsenal Technical High School class of 1955. Following high school Dean proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a valued and longtime member of the American Legion, the Shriners & Freemasons.
In his fearless younger years he built and raced dragsters, his lead foot even won him several coveted trophies. He had a lifelong passion for muscle cars and would spend time with his friends at Dog n Suds drive in. Dean retired from the Ford Motor Company and spent his free time tinkering in the garage, camping and fishing. Dean is survived by children, Sandra Jarvis; Shelly Jarvis and grandchild, Eric Coe Jr..
Services are entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. The calling will be from 3 – 7 this Sunday and the funeral will be Monday morning starting at 10am where he will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
