“Bill” Harley Clinton Bryant passed away May 17, 2011. He was born June 13, 1929 in Paudling, Ohio the son of the late Viola (Foust) and Everett Bryant.
Bill had lived in Los Angelas for 32 years before moving back to Indianapolis in 1991.While in California he loved playing semi-pro pitch softball until in his 40’s. He also worked for the Lord in the field of evangelism.
Bill was a member of Rocklane Christian Church.
He worked at Federal Paper Board in Los Angelas until an injury forced his early retirement in 1982.
Bill served in the Army from 1952-1954 serving in France and Korea. He was a disabled veteran.
He married his wife of 56 years Betty Jo Pitzer on Dec. 28, 1954. She survives. Bill is survived by 3 children; Deborah (Dan ) Hickman of Edon, OH, Patricia Reed of Los Angelas, Ca and Tony Bryant of Mooresville IN, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. Bill has 1 sister, Shirley Whitaker of Knoxville, Tn. Several very close nieces and nephews and his beloved pet Skippy.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Ina Mae, one brother, Rex and his beloved son Reverend William C. Bryant in 2002. Friends may call Thursday May 19 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. A service will take place Friday at 11:0 AM at Rocklane Christian Church, 4430 Rocklane Rd. Greenwood. Burial will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery.
