Gust Paul Meltinos

Gust Paul Meltinos died Tuesday,April 12, 2011 at Bay Pines Veterans' Hospital, Florida. Gus was born January 24, 1935 to George and Katherine Meltinos in Joliet, Illinois. He was a 1953 graduate of Joliet Township High School. Gus served in the Army and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. Gus married Patricia Garard and they enjoyed 47 years of marriage before Pat's death in 2004. Gus was a devoted husband. He loved to fish and was a frequent visitor to the race track. He was an animal lover and was especially fond of his bird, Leroy. Gus was preceded in death by his beloved wife, his parents, and a niece, Melissa Paige. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Bessie Meltinos and Sophie Anast; niece, Adrian Anast; a nephew, Jason Anast, Samantha Brooks; many cousins and relatives from both the Meltinos and Garard families. Services for Gus will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2001 at 10 a.m. in Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Washington Park East.
