Gregory "Waldo" D. Walden

Gregory David Walden “Waldo”, born April 26th, 1973, in Indianapolis, IN passed away unexpectedly on July 5th, 2025 (Age 52). He was the beloved son of Mark and Joanne Walden.

No one could deny that Greg was a saint, an angel on earth. Greg was a creative, compassionate, loving and loyal husband, father, son, brother and friend who truly embodied what it meant to care for others and be present in times of need and when it really mattered.

Greg graduated from Howe High school in 1995. Shortly after graduation, he began his professional career as a sign fabricator. Greg loved to build beautiful signs and took great pride in his work. In 2002, Greg met his soul mate, Buffy, and became a phenomenal father and uncle.

Family, friends, nephews, brother, wife and daughters, Britney and Samantha looked to him for words of wisdom and comfort without judgement all the while he lifted the world’s weight off their shoulders. Nobody was present more or as quickly as Greg was if anyone had a problem or some issue they were struggling with.

His family and becoming a G-Paw was the only thing Greg loved more than traveling to beautiful beaches around the world, collecting shells with his wife, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and telling dad jokes.

Often times, even more than himself, Greg never put anything above his family. No one will ever fill Greg’s shoes, but we know he will always be with us, watching over and protecting his life’s most precious treasures- his wife, children, nephews and his granddaughter, Skye Reign.

Gregory was preceded in death by his wife, Buffy Walden, two daughters, Britney (Trey) Esther and Samantha Reynolds, and father, Mark Walden.

We will remember Greg with love and admiration at his service on July 22, 2025. Please join us to help us remember Greg and the phenomenal man he was. Public visitation is scheduled on 12-2pm followed by funeral services at Flanner Buchanan- Memorial Park Funeral and Cremation.
