Gregory S. Seashore, 51, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 16, 2014. He was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed NASCAR, Colts football, and Pacers basketball. Greg was a kind-hearted and loving person. He had a rich life with a wonderful loving family and good friends. He graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1981. He served in the Navy for several years right after high school and was stationed at Miramar Naval Base, near San Diego, California. He was an excellent Dart player and had awards to prove it. He saw many NASCAR races in his lifetime, including the Brickyard 400 in Speedway, Indiana, the Daytona 500 in Florida, and a race in Bristol, Tennessee. He enjoyed cheering on his niece and nephews at their sporting events.
He also enjoyed trips to Florida, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky Lake. Lake Vermilion, Minnesota was one of his very favorite places in the world.
He is survived by his loving mother Betty Seashore, father Gregory F. Seashore (wife Marge), brother Douglas Seashore (wife Tracey), and sister Stephanie Seashore Wachter (husband Steve) He is also survived by his beloved Uncle George and Aunt Laverne Banks as well as his Great Aunt Inger Stigerts. He was adored by nieces Chase Seashore, Bailey Seashore, Emily Wachter, and nephews Jakob and Andrew Gregory Wachter. He also had a loving step-family which included Jack and Shelly Farmerie, Scott and Monica Marckioni, and Chris and Roberta Acosta. He was also adored by his former wife Beth Seashore, her children, and grandchildren. His best friend of several decades was Ron Karn. Additional fans include our dogs Lola, Gracie, and cat Tucker. He will be missed by many.
A memorial service honoring Greg's life will be held at College Park Church on Thursday, September 25th at 6:00 p.m., with a visitation beforehand from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. College Park Church is located at the corner of 96th Street and Township Line Road, 2606 West 96th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
