Gregory Wayne Berry, 63, of Westfield, IN, passed away peacefully under hospice care on August 29, 2025, from complications following a car accident.
Greg was born in Washington, MO. After high school, he joined the US Army Reserves before finishing his bachelor's degree. From there, he built a career as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at General Motors, where his dedication and work ethic were admired by many.
Beyond his professional life, Greg was known as the life of the party, someone who had fun with whatever came his way. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and becoming friends with everyone in the room. Greg’s greatest joy came from being a loving husband to his wife, Jane, and a devoted father to his daughter, Paige. He was especially excited to become a grandfather to his future grandson to be born in October.
Greg loved spending his spare time at live music shows and sporting events. He was always cheering on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts. Since 1988, he never missed an Indy 500 race. Greg also enjoyed casino trips and playing poker with his friends. His warmth, humor, and easygoing nature touched all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; daughter, Paige Crupi (Berry); son-in-law Matt Crupi; mother, Martha Berry; brother, Gordon Berry; and sister Kim Berry.
A celebration of Greg’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan - Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters) in Westfield, IN. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor his memory. He will be missed by many.
