Gregorio (Gregory) Munoz

Gregory Muñoz, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 28, 2016. He was born March 12, 1942 in Arequipa, Peru to Dionicio and Rosalba (Exhelmes) Muñoz. After immigrating to the United States, he made his home in Los Angeles, CA. On July 27, 1974 he Married Roxanne Cooper, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and they started a family. In 1977, Gregory earned his Associates Degree in Dental Technology from The California School of Dental Technology and spent many years as a Dental Technician. He moved his family to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1990. After retirement, Gregory served as a Certified Medical Interpreter for Indianapolis Interpreters (now LUNA Language Services) and provided interpretation services for hospitals, schools, private organizations and government agencies throughout the state of Indiana. He attended Lakeview Christian Church.

Gregory was a man who loved God. He dedicated his life to God and his family. Above all he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who instilled life principles in his children and grandchildren. Throughout his life his hobbies included, playing golf, chess, cooking, growing a big garden and studying scripture. He was known for sharing God's Word, as well as the food he cooked and the vegetables he grew, with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister, Alberto, Rudolfo, Mario and Rosa. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 1/2 years, Roxanne, his three sons, Jayson and his wife, Carey, Kevin and Alan and his wife, Sarah, his sisters, Carmela Molina and Dawn Bradford, his brothers, Alfredo and Angel, his four grandchildren, Matthew, Marissa, Luke and Benjamin and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. In lieu of floral tributes, donations can be made to Riley Children's Hospital in his memory.
