Grace Rehme Newbold
106, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 1, 2015. Grace was born on December 31, 1908 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a graduate of Ball State University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She received her Masters Degree from Butler University. Grace taught school for sixteen years in Washington Township. She was a member of Tri Kappa Philanthropic Organization, a docent at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and an active member of the Women's Department Club. She was also a world traveler and a voracious reader and bridge player. In addition Grace was known for painting and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Newbold. She is survived by her son, William (Judy) Newbold; daughter, Karen "Dutch" Wood; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Conner Suite at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowerers, contributions to Marquett Manor. Arrangements handled by Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple.
